Flora Ann (Barton) Cotton Flora A. Cotton was called home by her Lord, on April 7,2007 after a long illness. She was born April 11, 1918, in Brown Branch, Stone County, Missouri, the sixth child of John and Grace Barton. The family moved to Illinois where she graduated from Havana community High School in 1936. Flora married the love of her life, Burton R. Cotton on February 13, 1937. She moved to San Diego, Calif. in 1943 and then moved to Prescott, Az. in 1980. She lived in Chino Valley for the last 5 years. She was preceded in death by her husband: daughter, Ester: mother and father; six brothers, Olen, Robert, Melvin, John Everett, Virgil and Carl. Flo is survived by her son Fredrick, (Elaine); four grandchildren, David and Joanne Jewell, Dillon and Jeremy Cotton; four great-grandchildren; one brother Jack Barton; four sisters, Eunice Moslander, Dorothy Page, Mildred Adams and Gracle Parr; and numerous nieces and nephews. She willl be missed by many friends. Flo belonged to the American Lutheran Church. She enjoyed working at the church and belonging to the quilting group. Services will be at 11 am Thursday, April 12,2007 at The American Evangelical Lutheran Church on Scott Drive in Prescott, Az., with Pastor Dan Storvick officating. Donations may be made to Katherina Von Bors Quilters in care of the American Evangelical lutheran Church. Heritage Memory Mortuary of Prescott, Arizona assisted with the arrangements. |
