The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, July 25, 2007 David James Schlosser passed away Sunday, July 15,2007 after a tragic aircraft accident near his home in Prescott, Arizona. David was born in Kirkland, Washington on June 23, 1984 and moved to Redmond, Washington for junior high and high school. With his father as his coach, he developed an early passion for wrestling that continued throughout his life and competed in many local, state and national tournaments with great success. Football was his second love and he finished his Redmond High School career in 2002 as captain of both teams. David received his private pilot license his senior year in high school and continue his education at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott where he graduated with Honors in 2005. He continued his flight training with North-Aire Flight Training Center where he held his current position of Chief Flight Instructor with over 2500 flight hours. David will be remembered as a truly amazing young man. It would be hard to find a picture of him without his incredible smile. Living each day to the fullest, he brought joy to all those around him. He had such an impact on everyone he met. David was the pride and joy of his family and words can not express how much he will be missed. David is survived by his father Dennis Schlosser; mother Karri Porter; step parents, Cammie Schlosser and Bob Porter; younger brother Zachry Schlosser; grandparents Jim and Tootsie Schlosser, Carole and Nick Nichelin; great- grandmother Rose Scurto; many uncles, aunts, cousins and countless friends. We will see you in heaven, sweetie ! Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2007 at First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue, 1717 Bellevue Way NE, Bellevue, Washington. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the David Schlosser Aviation Scholarship Fund at Key Bank, 7917 Center Blvd., SE, Snoqualmie, Wash., 98065.
