Elsie Alice (Ging) Johnson, 82, passed away on Sept 18, 2007, in Prescott, Ariz. She was born on Jan. 10, 1925, in Leeper, Mo., to Archie Sapper and Dorothy Dolly (Asberry) Ging. Soon after her family moved to nearby Mills Springs, Missouri, where they lived for the next seven years. During this time, she attended school with 28 kids from all eight grades in a one-room schoolhouse, traveling to and from
school in horse and buggy 10 miles each day.

In the early 1930s, Elsie's father obtained a job with the railroad in Bradford, Ark., and relocated the family accordingly. Elsie finished high school there in 1942 and received a job through the National Youth
Administration with The Boeing Company in Wichita, Kan. One year later Elsie met her husband-to-be, George Johnson, while working at Boeing.

The couple married in Wichita on June 26, 1944. One son, Geary was later born to the couple. Over the next 42 years lived in several locations as they made their living; Ridgecrest, Calif.; Coffeyville, Kan.; Brigham City, Utah; Phoenix, Ariz.; Redding, Calif.; and Wichita, Kan. The couple eventually retired in 1986 to Prescott for the beautiful
scenery and climate.

Throughout their working lives and retirement they enjoyed gardening,
fishing, boating, traveling in their RV and the company of many wonderful friends and family members.

Elsie will be remembered for her faithfulness to her Lord Jesus Christ, wonderful sense of humor, an adventurous spirit and a deep love for others. More than anything else in life, Elsie cherished time spent with friends and family and was loved by all who knew her.

Her husband George of 58 years in 2003 preceded Elsie in death, she was also preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers; Ethel (Ging) Collins, Oilie Ging, Myrtle Ging, Byrtha Ging, Joe Ging and Willard Ging.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Geary and Marie Johnson
of Prescott, and a granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Natasha (Johnson) and Bryan Grain oflrvine, Calif.

At Elsie's request, no memorial service will take place. She wished only
for those left behind to be happy knowing that she went to be with the Lord.
