Julia Mae (Thomas) Tucker

Julia Mae Tucker, 79, of Eloy died Dec. 27, 2006 at Evergreen Foothills Health & Rehabilitation Center in Phoenix.

Visitation was to be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Valley Chapel. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Westside Church of God in Christ. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.

Mrs. Tucker was born July 17, 1927 in Texas and was a daughter of Ike and Elsie Mae (Floyd) Thomas. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include four daughters, Shirlene Williams of Los Angeles, Marilyn Nelson of Pomona, Calif., Nita J. Braxton of Phoenix and Vicki L. Masters of Alameda, Calif.; four sons, Calvin Tucker of Gilbert, Earl Tucker of Mesa, John Tucker of Phoenix and Richard Tucker of Pittsburg, Calif.; four sisters, Melissa Cooksey of Tucson, Darlene Lott of Tracy, Calif., Elsie M. Pannell of Compton, Calif., and Joann Smith of Los Angeles; a brother, Vernon Thomas of Flagstaff; 26 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin; a sister, Ruby Clayborn; and three brothers, R.Q., Bennie and Ike Thomas.
