Elaine Sue (Gempeler) Steele

Elaine Sue Steele, 61, of Casa Grande died Jan. 3, 2007 at home.

The memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, with the Rev. Fred Hazel III officiating.

Mrs. Steele was born Oct. 30, 1945 in Monroe, Wis. She worked as a clerk. She enjoyed crafts of all sorts and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Reading was a favorite pastime. She also enjoyed spending time with friends from Wisconsin for a game of cards. She often spoke her mind and had a very outgoing personality.

Survivors include a son, Don Williams Jr. and her caregiver and daughter-in-law Pam Williams of Casa Grande; three daughters, Tina Pascoe and Brenda Hanson of Arizona City and Sheaba Granillo of Florence; three sisters, Karen Babler of Monticello, Wis., Christine Gmur of Lodi, Wis., and Kathleen Gempeler of Albany, Wis.; her former husband, Don Williams Sr. of Casa Grande; and 14 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Ruth Gempeler, and her husband, Jack Steele, in 1997.
