Margaret (Neff) Roberts

Margaret Neff Roberts, died peacefully on April 7, 2004, at home, with her loving husband William (Bill) A. Roberts by her side.

She was born Aug. 26, 1916, in Jacksonville, Fla., to Edward and Mabel Neff.

She attended Florida State Teachers College in Tallahassee, Fla. and graduated with a BS and taught high school chemistry in Key West, Fla.

She married Gilbert Lord in 1940. They moved to Panama, where she worked for the government. They had two daughters, Karen and Teri, and lived in California for a number of years.

In 1970, she received an MS in Psychology from Cal State LA and moved to
Winslow, Ariz. There, she met and married "her Willie." They moved to Prescott in 1975, where she was well known for many years as the School Psychologist for Yavapai County. She was the unstinting champion of
the child.

She loved people, traveling, the opera, SRE meditation, bridge, dominoes and tripping the light fantastic in her rich retirement years
in her beloved Prescott.

Margaret's legacy is to inspire others to face life with a smile and heart full of loving-kindness. Everyone who ever knew Margaret always loved her!

Margaret is survived by her loving and devoted husband, "Bill" Roberts,
after more than 30 years of marriage enjoyed in their much-loved Prescott. She is also survived by her daughters, Teri (Don) Murray of
Grenada, W.I., and Karen Bailey of Florida; grandsons, Anthony and Daniel Bailey; a great-granddaughter; and many loving, loving friends.

The family is grateful to Hospice and friends for their loving support.

A Celebration of Her Life is planned for friends of Margaret and Bill's on Sunday, April 25th, from 2 to 4 p.m., at their home.
