Judy Elizabeth Kervin of Chino Valley passed away on the afternoon of July 17, 2008, after a long and courageous battle against illness.
Judy was born in Lammertine, Pa., on Jan. 15, 1940. She grew up in Oil City, Pa. She was a 1957 graduate of Oil City High School and an alumnus of Hammot School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse in Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas and Arizona. Her professional life was devoted to the comfort and care of others.

Judy loved cooking, music, shopping, and above all, her time with her grandchildren. She was a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother and a grandmother. She was a teacher, a fighter, a nurturer and giver. She was an inspiration to her family and friends and an example of courage in the face of adversity.

Her parents,Thomas and Kathryn Linehan and her brother Thomas Linehan, have preceded Judy in death. She is survived by her sisters S. Jeanne Linehan, M. Christine Linehan and Kathryn Ritchie; and her brother John Linehan. She is also survived by her children, Joshua and Molly Kervin; grandchildren, Liam and Skylar Kervin; and her loving and devoted husband of 37 years, James Kervin.

Services will be private. Friends and family wishing to honor Judy may do so with a donation to the Hammot School of Nursing Alumni Association for a scholarship in Judy’s name.
