Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, July 29, 2008 William Hoyt Cabe, 70, of Prescott, Ariz., born June 26, 1938, in Burbank, Calif., passed away July 26, 2008, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Prescott, Ariz. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, at the National Veterans Cemetery of Prescott, Ariz. Heritage Memory Mortuary assisted with the arrangements. --------------------------------------- Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, August 3, 2008 William Hoyt Cabe, 70, of Prescott, Ariz., born June 18, 1938, in Burbank, Calif., passed away July 26, 2008, at the Veteran Administration Medical Center, Prescott. Bill was preceded in death by his son Marty. He is survived by his son Larry of Overland Park, Kan., and his beloved cat, Rusty. Bill served in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 to 1964. He was a language specialist stationed in Alaska until he was honorably discharged. He retired from Northrop Grumman, Pico Rivera, Calif., in 1964. Bill later moved to Prescott in 2000. He was a life member of the National Rif le Association and taught a gun safety class at High Noon in Prescott Valley. Women students especially appreciated his patient, kind and knowledgeable method of teaching. He was a member of the Prescott Sportsmen’s Club and High Noon Shooters. Bill also had a commercial pilot certificate. One of Bill’s favorite foods was pizza with anchovies from Streets of New York. He had it all to himself because of the anchovies. He will be surely missed by his dear friends Bren Davis, Bunny Gross, Peter Hess and Charlie Gates, as well as his many other friends. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, at the National Veterans Cemetery of Prescott. Heritage Memory Mortuary assisted with the arrangements. Information provided by survivors.
