Carol Dorothy Cahill, 90, of Albuquerque, N.M., born Aug. 5, 1915, in Iowa, died Monday Dec. 5, 2005, in Albuquerque, N.M.

Visitation will be from 8:45 to 9:15 am, Franday, Dec. 9, at Heritage Memory Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave., Prescott, Ariz.

Services will be at 10 am Friday, December 9, [2005] at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury Ave., Prescott, with burial at Mt. View Cemetery in Prescott, Ariz.

Carol Cahill passed away on Dec. 5, 2005, in Albuquerque, N.M. Carol was born on a farm in Cooper Township Webster County, Iowa, on Aug 5, 1915, to Teckia and Wilhe Carlson.

She attended rural schools and graduated from Ft. Dodge High School in 1932. Later she became the head cook at Lutheran Hospital and worked there for many years.

Carol married Emerson Cahill of Vincent, Iowa, on May 30 1946, in Ft. Dodge, Iowa, and then moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where Emerson was employed by the Navy Finance Department.

They started a family and lived m Cleveland for 25 years. For many years she worked in sales for Stanley Home Products. Carol and Emerson moved to Phoenix in 1971 and then retired to Prescott in 1978.

In 2001, Carol returned to Iowa and resided in the Frank Smith Retirement Apartments in Des Moines, Iowa and in 2005 she moved to Albuquerque to live with her daughter, Cynthia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emerson, and her son, Joseph.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia Thomas and husband, Graham, of Albuquerque, N.M, Alan Cahill and wife, Mary (Lucy) of Phoenix, Kent Cahill of Houston, Texas, and Marlene Long of Skull Valley; grandchildren, Shannon Thomas of Seattle, Wash., Shawn Thomas of Los Angeles, Calif., Corinna Pietruszynski and husband, Dana, of Tucson, Robert Hutson of Chandler and Nathaniel Cahill and wife, Sarah, of Phoenix; her two sisters, Helen Steams and husband, Myron W. (Bill) of Des Moines, Iowa, and Beveriy Keenan and husband, Thomas, of Los Alamos, N.M; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass was at Sacred Heart Church in Prescott, on Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, and burial followed at Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott, Ariz.
