The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, November 4, 2005 Janet Messerschmitt died Nov. 1, 2005, in Prescott. She was born July 29, 1934, in Elizabeth, Colo., the daughter of Emil and Gladys (Mason) Bostrom. Janet was 71 years old. Janet's life experiences ranged from employment with Fedieral Bureau of Investigation to owning and operating her own bookstore. Her most important job in her estimation was raising and supporting her family. She had been an active member of numerous boards and organizations in Prescott and most recently served as Sunday School Superintendent of Prescott United Methodist Church. She never wanted to draw attention to herself but gained happiness in helping others achieve their objectives. She loved God, family, cats, books, other people and a good laugh. She in turn was loved by all who knew her. Janet is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jim; daughter, Kim (Kirby) Johnson of Temple, Texas; sons, Kurt (Emily) and Kyle (Kim) of Dallas, Texas; brother, Norman (JoAnne) Bostrom of Colorado Springs, Colo.; grandchildren, lyier, Tara, Tanner, Taylor, Travis, and Amy; niece Jennifer and her many friends. A celebration of Janet's life will be 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 7, 2005, at Prescott United Methodist Church, 505 W. Gurley St., Prescott, Ariz. Burial will be in Elizabeth, Colo. The family suggests memorials in Janet's name to Prescott United Methodist Church, Discipleship Fund, Prescott, Az., 86301. Information provided by survivors. |
