Evelyn Ann Dewing passed away Nov. 4, 2005, at the age of 96. Born Oct. 23, 1909, in Chadron, Neb., to Ralph and Kate Waltz, she completed
high school and college in Chadron.

In 1928, she married Martin Dewing, her husband of 67 years, who preceded her in death in 1995. She was a gifted elementary school
teacher, fine artist, excellent cook, model wife and mother, the very example of integrity and honor and dedication.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth Dewing and his wife, Else, of California.

In addition to her son-in-law, Dave Hadden, grandsons, Tracy Smith and Joey Dewing and granddaughter, Linda Bennett, three great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marilyn Jade Haddon in 2003.

The family wishes to acknowledge with deep gratitude and thank Sheryl
Rodgers of Chino Valley for the dedicated service of Helper, caretaker, friend and advocate for Evelyn, the last few years and especially the past several months where she was truly Evelyn's angel.

Evelyn will be greatly missed by the many friends and relatives whose lives she touched. For them, the world will be a lonelier place.

A memorial service is being planned to occur in California at a future date.

Remembrances may be made to the charity of one's choice.
