Anna Jean (Harris) Reed

Anna "Jean" Reed, AKA "Arizona Wild Woman," died Oct. 23, 2005, in Prescott, Ariz. She was born May 27, 1928, in Jamesport, Mo., to Ira
and Tillie Harris.

Jean married Ray Reed, Jr., on Sept. 22, 1947. They moved to Malvern,
Iowa, in 1949 and lived there until 1974. While living in Malvern, they had four daughters, Rayna, Ronda, Robin and Risa.

Jean was active in the American Legion Post #6 in Prescott. She also thoroughly enjoyed her involvement with the Red Hat Society.

In 2002, Jean hosted a trip for her daughters and friends to the great city of Chicago where she lead the conventioneers of the "Wild Women
Society" for five days of fun, frivolity and togetherness. Jean was crowned "Mama Diva" by all those who witness her joy.

Jean is predeceased by her husband, Ray Reed, Jr.; her daughter, Ronda; and her brothers, Hugh Harris, Jim Harris and Ken Harris.

Jean is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Rayna Reed Taylor (Vern), Robin Reed Babbitt ("Huggy Bear," Mark) and Risa Reed Erb ("Big Dog" Dean). Jean leaves six grandchildren; Misti Cherry, Brianna
Swoboda, Amanda Jenson, Brandon Babbitt, Courtney Taylor, Neligh Taylor, Cheney Taylor, and Amber Gatley; step-grandchildren, Amanda
Schafer and Dean Erb, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Ashleigh Cherry, Sydney Cherry, Briggs Jenson, Saylor Jenson, Isabella Taylor-Bowes, Tatum Erb, and Lyia Schafer.

A graveside service in honor of Jean will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28, 2005, at Green Acres Cemetery, 401 N. Hayden Road, Scottsdale, Ariz.

The family suggests memorial contributions may be made in Jean's name to
either the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society.
