Earl James Heydorn, 76, of Dewey, Ariz., born Nov. 3, 1930, in Cottonwood, Ariz., passed away, Sept. 2, 2007, in Dewey.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at Sunrise Funeral Home, 8167 E. Highway 69, in Prescott Valley, Ariz., and from 9 to 10 am Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, at the Fountain of Life Community Church, 3160 N. Lynx Lake Drive in Prescott Valley.

Services in Earl's honor will be 10 am Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, at the Fountain of Life Community Church in Prescott Valley.

A military graveside service in Cottonwood will be after the service, with directions being provided at the services.

Sunrise Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.

Earl James Heydorn, 77, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2007 at his home in Dewey, Arizona.

Born November 3, 1930, Earl was the son of Ernest William Heydorn and Nora Francis Heydorn.

Earl had enlisted in the Army Corps on February 1973 and after serving his country for 26 years, he retired a Master Sergeant out of Williams Air Force Base in Arizona.

Earl is survived by his wife Joan Marie Heydorn; his two sons, Ernest and Bruce Heydorn, a daughter, Deborah Heydorn; and two step-daughters, Shelley Allsup and Kelley Gregory.

Earl loved to help anyone and he spent his retired years taking food to the hungry with the help of local various Food Banks. He was very fond of all animals, wild or domestic, and he loved to provide care for them all.

Earl had found his faith in his later years and we all knew he had a place saved in Heaven for him.

Visitation will be Thursday September 6, 2007, at Sunrise Funeral Home, 8167 E. Hwy 69, Prescott Valley; Family 5-6 pm; Public 6-8 pm.

Services in Earl's honor will be held Friday, September 7, 2007, at Fountain of Life Community Church, 3160 N. Lynx Lake Dr., Prescott Valley; Visitation 9-10 am; Service 10:00 am.

There will be a military graveside service in Cottonwood after the service; directions to be provided at the services.
