Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, April 15, 2004 Dorothy G. Gillan, age 90, of Dupo, Ill., died Friday, April 9, 2004, at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. She was born Feb. 10, 1914, in Fredericktown, Mo. Mrs. Gillan was a homemaker, a lifetime member of Rebecca Lodge; and a member of Trainmen Lodge. Mrs. Gillan was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Gillan; her parents Guile and Leatha (Benton) Rose; brothers, Guile and Lution Rose; and a sister, Florence Hart. She is survived by her children, Betty Eakle of Pana, Ill., Bob (Viola) Gillan of East Carondelet, Ill, Barbara (Ronald) Weber of Columbia, Ill., Carolyn (Felix) Gutierrez of Prescott and Buddy{Neva) Gillan of Cahokia, Ill.; sister-in-law, Kathryn Jarrett of Winston-Salem, N.C.; 52 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 19, at 10 a.m., in the Prescott National Memorial Cemetery at Fort Whipple. Deacon Tony Humphrey will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Gillan's memory may be directed to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
