Lois Jean (Jeanne) Butler of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Prescott, Ariz.,
passed away peacefully in Prescott on Aug. 27, 2007.

Born Sept. 23, 1924, in Lexington, Okla., to Thomas J. and Linnie Mae Williams.

Jeanne grew up on a farm in Oklahoma. She met her future husband, Le Butler at a dance at Tinker Field during WWII. They married in Boston
on Sept. 7, 1945, and were happily married for over 60 years.

She was a successful model in New York City in her first few years
of marriage, and a wonderful homemaker for the rest of her life.

Her interests included gardening, cooking and providing volunteer service at Riverside Hospital in Boonton, N.J., and later at the
Scottsdale Memorial Hospital in Arizona.

Le was a Captain for TWA for 37 years, which allowed the two of them to travel the world for many years.

Jeanne never spoke a harsh or angry word. She was a terrific example of
warmth, kindness and gentleness. She raised her three children in
righteousness, and lived her life by the "Golden Rule."

Le and Jeanne spent the first half of their married life in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey. They then moved to Arizona to be with their grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Le; sons, Bill (Suzanne) and Terry; three
grandchildren, Aaron (Cincere Lee), Ben (Jamie) and Alyssa (Nate); seven
great-grandchildren; and sister Phylis Weese.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas J. Williams and mother Linnie MaeArnold, her brother Thomas Williams and sister Norween Wimmer, and daughter Lisa Morrison.

She left a legacy of love that will live in our hearts forever. She will
be missed by friends and family alike.

A memorial service is pending. A celebration of Jeanne's life will be at the home of Bill and Suzanne Butler.

Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with the
arrangements.
