Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, August 3, 2008 James Michael Wilson (Jay) left us on Sunday, June 15, 2008. He passed away at his home in Prescott Valley, Ariz. Jay was born Oct. 22, 1944, in Morrenci, Ariz., to James L. and Char-main (Cox) Wilson. He attended the Prescott schools Washington School, Prescott Junior High and Prescott High School, finishing in 1963. He is preceded in death by his mother and father; brother Warren Wilson; and son Ron King. His survivors include his daughters, Tuesday King Spagnuolo (Vince) and Tacy Cleary (Tony), both of California, and a son, Levi Wilson (Lisa) of Japan. He also leaves behind the mother of his children, Mary Wilson of Port Angeles, Wash.; ex-wife and friend Leora Branson; his nephew Paul Wilson; brother Gary Wilson of Port Angeles, Wash.; and seven grandchildren, of whom he was most proud. Also, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, not to mention a large extended family who loved him dearly. Jay was most proud of being an ironworker, retiring in 1990 from Ironworkers Local 75 in Phoenix. He could always tell you the buildings and bridges he worked on and a story to go with each of them. Those of us who knew Jay will always remember his wit, his jokes, and his ability to make everyone laugh. You will be missed by all of us, Jay. A celebration of his life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at his home, 4172 N. Robin Dr., Prescott Valley. There will be a cookout – something that Jay loved. All friends are invited to attend and remember Jay. For more information, please call Leora at 775-2081 Information provided by survivors. |
