The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 10/17/2006 William A. "Big Griff" Griffin, 72, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006, in Pinetop. Griff was born March 3, 1934, in Jamestown, N.D. Big Griff loved to sing and entertain. He volunteered his talents to several organizations and clubs. His other hobbies included golf, wine-making and dancing. He retired as a college professor from Imperial Valley College and spent his remaining years in Arizona. He will be greatly missed by many. He is survived by his wife, Jonelle; children, Billi, John and Terri; grandkids, Nicole, Michelle, JR, Kayla, Griffin and Cole. No formal services are planned. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lions Club International Foundation, 300 W. 22nd St., Oak Brook, IL 60523-8842, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all who loved him and enjoyed his singing.
