Thelma Mae Troutman, 93, of Prescott, Ariz., born April 24, 1912, in Hannibal, Mo., died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005, in Prescott.

A private family gathering will take place at a later date.

Born April 24, 1912, Thelma was the oldest of three children of Harry and Mae Watts of Hannibal, Mo.

She began playing the piano at age 5. Eighty-eight years later, one year for every key on the on the piano, the music stopped as she slipped away in her sleep on Nov. 13th.

A resident of Toledo, Ohio, from 1946 to 1971, she was totally devoted to her family and to playing for her friends. She was active in Monday Musical during those years, accompanying some of Toledo's brightest artists. Retireing to Bella Vista, Ark, with her husband, Clark in 1971, she found audiences eager tonear her music. She played regularly at the country club on Friday nights, as well as an occasional concert at Riordan Hall, and finally at Happy Hour at Concordia.

In 2000, she moved to Prescott, where she entertained her neighbors at
Granite Gate and in the last few weeks, at Margaret T. Morris Center.

She is survived by her sons, Gary of Prescott, and Barry of Sanford, Fla.; and granddaughter, Tiffany of Riverside, Calif. Thelma was preceded in death by Clark, her husband of 57 years.

The family wishes to thank all those who brought joy to her life by loving her music.
