LaDine (Caughey) Fish

LaDine Fish, 72, of White Mountain Lake died Saturday, Dec. 2 in Snowflake.

Mrs. Fish was born May 16, 1934, in Los Angeles, Calif., the daughter of Henry and Ruby (Teague) Caughey. She was raised and attended school in Bakersfield, Calif., graduating from East Bakersfield High School in 1953. She was married to Ambrose Fish May 8, 1966, at Las Vegas, Nev. The couple lived in Bakersfield, where she was a homemaker, until coming to the White Mountains four years ago.

She enjoyed crocheting and especially making doilies. She was a great mom and her children remember, as teenagers, her signal that curfew was over, was turning the porch light on and off. She was a member of Women of the Moose, Stockdale Lodge of Bakersfield.

Survivors include her husband, Ambrose, of the home; daughter, Geri Sue Fish of Solomon, Kansas; two sons, Ambrose "Butch" Fish III (Kay) Tracy, Calif., Brian Fish (Terri) of Bakersfield, Calif.; three sisters Helen, Louise and Francis; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Robert and Marion "Sonny" Caughey.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 6, in the chapel of Black's Mortuary in Show Low, with Pastor Bob Midyett officiating. Burial followed at the Lakeside Cemetery.
