Carl G. Lama, 74, a longtime resident of Lake Havasu City passed away peacefully Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, after a lengthy illness with his loving family by his side. He was born Sept. 28, 1933 in Canton, Ohio, to Oscar and Mary (Cory) Lama.

Carl, along with his wife, Velma and their three children moved to Lake Havasu City 40 years ago from Ohio. He was a painting contractor for many years and owner of Lama Painting Co.

Carl is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Velma; sons, Carl “Chip” (Gina) Lama and Curt Lama, of Lake Havasu City; daughter, June (Carlos Miro) Lama-Miro, of Mallorca, Spain; grandson, Dustin Lama; brother, Dean (Alice) Lama, of Lake Havasu City; sister, Margaret Salas, of Canton, Ohio; brother-in-law, Bobby Gardiner, of Massillon, Ohio, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Carl’s wishes were for no memorial services; therefore the family requests you share loving acts of kindness in his memory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carl’s name to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.
