Rex R. Robinson

Rex R. Robinson, 83, of Kearny, passed away on Jan. 10, 2007.

He was born in Michigan on Nov. 6, 1923.

Mr. Robinson served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a tool and die maker for General Motors before retiring to Arizona.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Lyn of Kearny; children, Bryan (Lisa) of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Brenda (Jim) Rowland of Glendale, Beth (Robin) of Queen Creek and Bridget (Terry) Moore of Columbia, Missouri; stepchildren, Terry (Cathy) Brennan of Portage, Michigan, Bruce (Joyce) Brennan of Lansing, Michigan, and Jeannie Brennan of Akron, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Maxine Robinson of Phoenix.

The memorial service was held Saturday, Jan. 13, at the Kearny Senior Citizen Center. Ray High School ROTC performed military honors at his memorial service with a 21-gun salute and playing of “Taps.” Following “Taps,” the Honor Guard presented his widow with a United States flag.

Memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Banner Gardens Hospice in Mesa.
