| Gloria L. Gonzales, 74, of Kearny, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, at Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa. Born in Miami on June 16, 1932, she came as a small girl to the Ray-Sonora area where she grew up and raised her family. A homemaker, she was a “Super” mom and grandma – her life was being with and caring for her family. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ceniseros and Debra Sommers, both of Kearny; sister, Mary Adams of Reno, Nevada; brother, Manuel “Sailor” Leyba of Riverside; grandchildren, Manuel Ceniseros, Jennifer Sommers and Katherine Myrick; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Joshua, Kevin, Noah, Justin and Meghan; niece, Dolores (Loli) Corral; and nephews, Tony and Richard Rubio. She was preceded in death by her mother, Paula Leyba, son, Arnold, and daughter, Thelma. The Rosary was held Saturday, Jan. 13, at Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church followed by the Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated by Father James Aboyi. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery in Superior. Griffith Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements. See Also: Find A Grave |
