Patricia "Pat" Mared Jones went home to be with her Lord on Dec. 16, 2005. Pat was born to Edward B. and Mary E. Jones in Hackensack, N.J.,
on March 17, 1936.

Pat served her country in the Air Force and later worked for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Pat was a pioneer in the FAA and one of the first women in management. She was not a person to back down or walk away from any problem or adventure. She traveled the world and
made numerous lifelong friends.

Pat had a lifelong love for flying. She also enjoyed participating in chili cookoffs. Her sense of humor permeated all aspects of her life. Her friends and email companions always knew her as "Happy Pat."

Pat was also deeply committed to her church and to her Lord.

Pat was interred at the National Memorial Cemetery in Cave Creek,
Arizona.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Baptist Church on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, at 2 p.m.

Hampton Funeral Home lovingly assisted with the arrangements.
