Grace Elizabeth (Young) Harshman went home to be with her Lord on Dec.
30, 2005. Gerald Leroy Harshman had been given the privilege of loving her and being her husband for more than 63 years. When she was ready, he willingly let her go to be with Jesus.

We know that her daughter, Joyce Costintino, her sisters, Mable and Faye
Young and Flonda Sharrit, her brother, Ray Young, and her parents, Ulysses and Nora Young, were joyously waiting in Heaven to greet her.

Grace was born April 12, 1921, in Peoria. She lived her entire life in
Arizona and never wanted to be anywhere else. She loved being home and was always busy, usually with one of her favorite activities, sewing, crocheting, or taking care of her grandchildren. She was always ready to help anyone who needed her, worked quietly on countless projects
at the Assembly of God Church.

Eleven years ago, Grace and Gerald moved from Phoenix to the Arizona Pioneer's Home in Prescott. There she continued to quietly work to help others. She crocheted dozens of afghans and blankets for other residents and staff. If a staff member had a new child or grandchild,
that child would receive a beautiful handmade blanket. She was an expert
seamstress and quilter, and she taught her skills to many others. She shunned all recognition for any of her efforts and few knew that extent of her selfless giving.

Grace was so loved and will be so sorely missed by Gerald, her two
surviving children, Carol Lussier and Joe Harshman; her six grandchildren, Stephanie Lussier, Lauren Lussier, LaRue, Bradley
Harshman, Ashley Harshman, Michelle Costintino, Mathew Costintino and
her great-grandson, Kyle Pittman.

Grace asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American
Cancer Society.

A Graveside serve will be held today, Thursday, Jan.5,at 12 Noon, at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6290 W Northern Ave., in Glendale, Ariz.
