Dianne Hatch Higdon, 62, of Prescott, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006. She was born in Franklin, Va., to Walter and Eleanor Hatch.

A devoted wife and mother, Dianne will be greatly missed by lifelong friend and husband of 42 years, Louis; her sons, Richard (Eve) and Kevin; her sister Carolyn Chapman; and beloved nephew Matthew Sturdivant.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Kenny; a sister, Phyllis; and infant daughters Stacey and Sheryl.

Dianne grew up and attended Tate High School and Pensacola Junior College, in Pensacola, Fla. In January of 1968, she moved to Bloomington, Ill., where she lived for the next thirty-five years.

Since becoming a resident of Prescott in 2003, Dianne has been active in Willow Hills First Southern Baptist Church. Dianne exemplified courage, optimism, and hope, to her family and countless others.

Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, Jan. 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Heritage Memory Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave., Prescott.

A memorial service will be at Heritage Memory Mortuary, Wednesday, at
10 a.m. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Park, Dewey, Ariz.

The family expresses sincerest gratitude to everyone who ministered
to Dianne's needs.
