Loyal Durwin Elder, 71, of Phoenix, a retired Phoenix Newspaper, Inc., circulation employee, died Dec. 30, 1987, at Thunderbird Samaritan Hospital & Health Center. He was born in Mark Center, Ohio. Survivors include his wife, Delores; sons, Rick and Lee; a brother; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Mortensen-Kings Funeral Center made private arrangements.
