Eric Ulysses Miller, 47, formerly of Flagstaff, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at John C. Lincoln North Mountain in Phoenix, following a year-long battle with a complicated medical condition.

Mr. Miller was born Sept. 13, 1962, in Corpus Christi, Texas.

He is survived by his mother, Nolan Phyllis Lawson of Phoenix; stepfather Harold Lee Miller Sr. of Texas; brothers Phillip Nolan Miller of Phoenix, Harold Lee Miller Jr. of Phoenix, Kevin Lewis Miller Sr. of Tucson and Carleton Dwight Miller of Phoenix; sisters Iva Cruchette' Miller of Tucson, Ina Cruchette' Miller of Tucson, Myrtle Beatrice McCalvin of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Brenda Joyce Clay of Corpus Christi; 14 nephews; and six nieces.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Nolan Phillip Bailey; grandmothers Tansy Mae Bailey and Prim Rose Mitchell; great-aunt Ann Claudette Stewart; and aunt Mary Ellen Cuencas.

A service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Best Funeral Services, 501 E. Dunlap Ave., in Phoenix.
