Thresa Elizabeth Giger McDade, 62, a native to Arizona, passed away at her home in San Diego on February 22, 2003. Thresa was a former teacher, educator and entrepreneur. She was a graduate of Phoenix Union High School and received her BA, MA and PhD from Arizona State University. In her professional career, Thresa was a teacher and administrator, serving as the Assistant Superintendent of the Scottsdale Unified School District. Upon leaving the public sector, she launched her own company, Feedback Plus, a software development company based here in Phoenix. Thresa married Roger McDADE in 1978 and began a remarkable journey that included a wonderful family, amazing friends, great trips and many good times. The most celebrated event of Thresa's life was the birth of their son Jake in 1983. Jake was clearly the center of her universe. Thresa will be remembered by her many friends for her extraordinary generosity, tremendous sense of humor, keen intellect, curious nature and exceptional values. She is survived by her husband Roger and son Jake, her stepchildren Jack, Jill and Jeannie, her sister Carrie ERWIN and brother Henry ZANIN. A celebration of Thresa's life was held at the Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice of the Valley.
