| The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona, January 01, 2004 Keith M. Coulliette, 30, departed from this life during an air collision on December 28, 2003, at Turf Soaring School in Peoria, Arizona, where he was employed. Keith was loved by many and will be greatly missed. His compassionate nature and quiet insight were an inspiration and a blessing. Children of all ages found an understanding friend in Keith. He loved nature, the outdoors, and every kind of animal. Keith was born on February 9, 1973, in Phoenix to Roy M. Coulliette and Darlene M. Golka Coulliette. He grew up in Mesa, where he resided with his mother, grandparents, aunt, and brothers. He and his brothers also visited their father regularly. He graduated from Westwood High School where he excelled in Journalism, Forensics, and Choir. He obtained a BS in Political Science at NAU where he was also a member of the Speech and Debate Team and a reporter for the campus newspaper. He also received a BS in Education from the University of Phoenix. Keith was licensed as a Private and Commercial Glider Pilot and was a Certified Flight Instructor for Gliders. He was also a licensed Private Power Pilot. Keith began his flying career at the age of fourteen at Turf Soaring School, owned by Keith's father. Keith participated in many flying events and competitions in addition to his work as glider pilot and instructor. He also pursued a teaching career and spent three years teaching. He continued to use his speaking and writing abilities as a member of Toastmasters. Keith is survived by his father, Roy M. Coulliette of Peoria, and his two brothers, Chad M. Coulliette of Mesa, and Matthew A. Coulliette of Mesa. Services will be held on January 2 at Church of Christ, 1223 E. Dana Ave., Mesa. The burial service will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
