Gardner Stogdill Wilson

Mr. Wilson On July 31, 2008, Gardner Wilson left his earthly body behind and went peacefully to heaven to be with his Lord and Savior.
He was 89 years old.

Son of Georgina and Joseph Wilson, born Oct. 21, 1918, in Oakland, Calif., he truly lived an interesting life. He was a WWII veteran, general contractor, writer, cartoonist, outdoorsman, avid gardener (he was his namesake), mentor, philosopher, and much more.

Most importantly, he was loved by his children, sons Brooks (Kathy), who preceded him in death, Craig (Carol), Jon (Rose) and Todd; and daughter Stacey. Carol May, the mother of his five children, will miss him eternally. Gardner was a grandfather to Jamie (Tom) Folkman, Jeff Ochsner, Sarah Davis (Charley), and Christopher Wilson; and great-grandfather to Hudson Davis.

Celebrations of his life took place on Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, in Seattle, Wash.

In lieu of flowers, Gardner would most likely prefer you spend a little extra time with family and loved ones.

Goodbye, Dad – we love you and will miss you, until we see you again. And we will.
