| The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, AZ Tuesday, November 02, 2010 Robert Lee DeVault (1925-2010) Robert Lee DeVault, 85, died October 29, 2010, in Clarkdale, Arizona with his family by his side. Robert was born November 21, 1925, in Solon, Iowa to Arthur and Pauline DeVault. He attended Ogden High School where he met and married his lifetime sweetheart. Robert served in the Unites States Air Force at Williams Field. He received a Bachelors degree in Education from Tempe Teaching College and a Masters from Arizona State University. Robert and his wife Barbara moved to Clarkdale in 1950 where he was a Teacher and Superintendent of the Clarkdale School District for 30 years. He will be missed greatly by his family. Robert is survived by his wife Barbara DeVault; sister, Joan Dice; son, Mark DeVault; daughters, Tamara Gibbons (Bill), Valli Moore (Jim), Debra DeVault, Terri Nelson (Walter) and Lisa Oppliger (Rick); thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Wednesday November 10 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Clarkdale, AZ. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to open the Clarkdale swimming pool.
