Wiley Duke Dies in Mesa Mesa--Wiley Duke, 86-year-old Mesa pioneer, died Sunday night in the local hospital following a week's illness. A native of Mississippi, Mr. Duke was an early settler of the Salt River valley, coming here 58 years ago. During the active years of his life, he was engaged in farming and was the owner of a large amount of property in the valley. His wife, Betty Carol, two step-daughters, Mrs. Hazel Gardner and Mrs. Della Drew, the latter of Burlingame, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Abbie Rick, Chickasha, Oklahoma; and two brothers, Henry, Mesa and Harrison, Sulpher Springs, Oklahoma, survive.
