Phillips-Murdough, Barbara

Barbara Phillips-Murdough, of Glendale, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2006 after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer.

Barbara was born in Detroit, Michigan but made Arizona her home for more than 30 years.

She put herself through college, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from ASU. Barbara served as Vice-President of Finance for Loftco, Inc. for many years, and her passions included mentoring numerous co-workers and friends, and providing opportunities for them to grow in their careers and lives. She was an incredibly powerful, intelligent and spiritual woman who will also be remembered for her many cards and thoughtful gestures, and for how much she gave back to the community.

Most importantly, she was a devoted mother who loved her daughters Maryanne Maloney and Sarah Murdough with all her heart.

Barbara's spirit and generosity will be remembered by all who knew her, and she will be sorely missed by her husband John Murdough, her children and her extended family. She was truly one of a kind.

A private service was held to celebrate Barbara's life. The family asks that donations be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014.
