Brownlie, Sharon Marie McMurtry Sharon Marie McMurtry Brownlie, age 64, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 25, 2006. She was born in Phoenix, Arizona January 25, 1942 to Mary Angele and Glen Olney McMURTRY. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, sister JoAnn CARTER and brother Charles O. McMURTRY. Sharon was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, John W. BROWNLIE, daughter Deborah Ann and her husband Todd TYGESEN, her son Johnny G. and his wife Mary and 3 granddaughters Jordyn Marie, Taylor Ann and Maren Elizabeth. Sharon graduated from Saint Mary's High School in 1960 and attended Arizona State University. During her life, Sharon worked for Sears Roebuck, First National Bank, the U-haul company and the Valley National Bank from which she retired after 27 years, as well as Sams Club. At all of these companies, she thoroughly enjoyed the relationships she formed and nurtured there. Sharon was a devout Catholic and parishioner of Saint Thomas the Apostle Church, and was a kind, caring and giving person, willing to lend a hand to those in need and a friend to many. Sharon's love of life was for family, friends and Church. She loved being part of her children's school and late night activities such as football and basketball games and swim meets, and most especially if it involved TP-ing events of her children and friends. She will be missed by many. Visitation and Rosary were at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix. Funeral Mass was at Saint Thomas the Apostle Church, 2312 E. Campbell Ave., Phoenix. Interment and graveside service at Saint Francis Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St., Phoenix. She was buried close by her father, mother, sister and other family members.
