Waddicar, Paul Douglas
Paul Douglas Waddicar was 37 years old when he died in a tragic motorcycle accident on May 6, 2006. He graduated with honors from ASU achieving a B.A. degree in Russian. Paul was a spiritual person, but his God and sanctuary was nature. Paul enjoyed being outdoors, from mountain biking, hiking, and camping to spending time helping others with gardening. His favorite place to find peace and tranquility was in Sedona. He lived life on his own terms, loved his family very much and always helped others in need. He was a very sensitive and intelligent soul who had a wonderful smile and great sense of humor.

He is survived by his parents, Doug and Darlene Waddicar, who will dearly miss their caring son, and sister, Lisa Dwyer and her husband Mike whom he was very close to. He will be missed by relatives from Chicago and New Hampshire, Uncle George in Tucson, caring friends in Phoenix, and Zupus, his beloved cat. We all will miss his big bear hugs and wonderful light-hearted approach to life. A memorial service was held at Harpers Funeral Home, 1246 E. Jefferson St., Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Riparian Institute, 50 E. Civic Center Dr., Gilbert, Arizona 85296. Published in The Arizona Republic on 5/13/2006.
