| Hechler, Rita Marie Pacitti Rita Marie Pacitti Hechler, born October 6, 1917, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, March 16, 2006 in Scottsdale. Mrs. Hechler was married to Edwin Hechler from 1936 until his death in 2001. They moved to Phoenix in 1961 from Philadelphia. Mrs. Hechler graduated from ASU in 1970 and taught Journalism at West High School. She later sold real estate. Mr. Hechler worked as an artist in the Public Relations Department of "The Arizona Republic" until his retirement in 1976. Mrs. Hechler is survived by three devoted sons - Edwin (P.J.), of Columbus, Ohio; Bruce (Joan), of Edgewater, Maryland; and Gene (Pauline), of Tucson, AZ; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial Mass was held at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 5045 East Thomas Road, Phoenix. Published in The Arizona Republic on 3/22/2006. See Also: ASU Memoriams |
