Karen Ann Ayars
A Lake Montezuma woman, Karen Ann Ayars, died March 10 in Las Vegas.
She was 57 years old.
Karen was born May 9, 1943 in Muskegon, Michigan. She retired with her husband of 36 years to Lake Montezuma six years ago.

Mrs. Ayars was a registered nurse at the Baptist Hospital of Phoenix. She was a past president of the Arizona State University Nursing Alumni, a girl scout and cub scout leader and volunteered for both the American Red Cross and the Montezuma-Rimrock After-School Arts' Program (ASCAP). Survivors include husband, Rick Ayars; mother, Cloe KUEHNEMAN; daughter, Marcia GRACE-ALBER of Tempe; sons, Jim AYARS of Phoenix and Alan AYARS of Las Vegas; brothers, Ed KUEHNEMAN of Globe, Ariz. and Doug KUEHNEMAN of Allentown, Pennsylvania; and six grandchildren. Funeral arrangements were made in Nevada. The family requests that any memorial donations be made to the American Red Cross. Verde Independent and The Bugle 3/19/2001
