Jack W. Terry, age 49, of Austin TX, died on Tuesday, March 13, 2001, after a four month battle with kidney cancer. Jack is survived by his wife, Kelly & their unborn child, of Austin; son, Timothy Terry of Tempe, AZ; mother, Ruby Terry, of Phoenix; sisters & brothers-in-law, Joyce & Charles Haime of Miami, & Pat & Tom Hensley of Glendale, AZ; brother & sister-in-law, Jim & Peggy Terry of Glendale, AZ; father & mother-in-law, Bob & Sharon Rasmussen of Coon Rapids Minnesota, & best friend, Blane Glaze of Austin.

Jack was born on November 11, 1951, in Downey, California. He was raised in Phoenix & graduated from Arizona State University with bachelors & masters degrees in chemical engineering & a masters degree in business administration. Jack worked for almost 30 years in the semiconductor industry, including ten years at Intel & most recently, twelve years at Advanced Micro Devices. At AMD, he was module manager of the C4 Bump Fab, which he built from scratch into a team of 190 people. Jack was also an avid hunter & enjoyed spending time on his hunting lease outside of San Saba.

Visitation was held at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home, where memorial services were also held. The family would like to express their thanks & graditude to Dr. Geoffrey Weiss, Dr. Laurence Tokaz, Dr. Buddy Tipton & Hospice Austin for all of their support and care.
