Lois E. Ouellette, February 28, 1924 - August 1, 2006.

Cremation rites have been held for Lois E. Ouellette, 82, of Coos Bay, Oregon and Glendale, Arizona.

Lois was born February 28, 1924 at Gulf Port, Mississippi, the daughter of Howard and Eulla Mae (MILLER) EDWARDS. She passed away August 1, 2006 at her summer home in Coos Bay.

She was raised and educated in Gulf Port and she was married to Phillip Richard Ouellette at the end of WWII.

Lois worked for the Civil Service while her husband served in the military until 1963.

She then attended the University of Southern Mississippi and received a teaching degree. She taught school for many years in Phoenix, Arizona until retiring. While teaching she never stopped her education and she received a Masters in Education from Arizona State University. Lois enjoyed spending winters in Arizona and summers in Coos Bay, Oregon.

She also enjoyed dancing, listening to Jazz, spending time with family and friends and watching the Ocean.

She is survived by: daughter Rebecca & Greg Mizioch, Scottsdale, AZ; Son Phillip & Karen Ouellette, Westerville, Ohio; Daughter Allison & Robert Bowns, Litchfield, AZ; 6 grandchildren; brother Howard Edwards, Gulf Port, Mississippi.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1991.

Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson's Bay Area Mortuary.
