CHANDLER - Alfred "Al" DePietro Sr., 69, formerly of Casa Grande, died March 26, 2006 in Chandler, surrounded by his family.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Drive in Chandler. A celebration of life will be held there from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Mr. DePietro was born May 18, 1936 in the Bronx, New York City. He moved to Casa Grande in 1980 and to Chandler in 1996. He worked at Lakeshore Mine, Fry's Food & Drug Store, Sizzler and also owned Big Al's Italian Connection in Casa Grande. He enjoyed collecting cookbooks, electronic gadgets, his computer and, most of all, spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Sharon; four children, Al Jr., Michael, Gina and Krista; a brother, Edward of New Hampshire; and seven grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to: Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014, and designated for Dobson House.
