Obdulia Maria (Lou) Feldhake

Obdulia Maria "Lou" Feldhake, 81, passed away January 8, 2007. "Lula" was born in Nambe, New Mexico and had 16 brothers and sisters.

She attended Loretto Catholic School in Santa Fe, and later a convent in Philadelphia, before returning to NM where she met and married Edward Feldhake. They moved to Ely, Nevada where Ed was employed with Kennecott Copper. They moved to Kearny in 1958 when he was transferred to the Ray Mines Division. They were very active in the community and raised seven children who all attended and graduated from Ray High School. They later moved to Tucson after retirement, and were again active in the Tucson community.

She lived a wonderful and full life and enjoyed knowing many people. She was a long time Kearny Women's Club member, and also an avid bowler. She loved crafts, flowers, celebrating holidays and never forgot anyone's birthday.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Tucson and attended mass daily. She is survived by her children, Mary Louise (Larry) Cleveland, Edward "Nippy", Ana Lash, Michael (Karen), Martin (Kimberly), Tomas (Tracey) and Patrick (Julie Lynn); 11 grandchildren: Julie and Paula Lash; Lisa, Samuel, and Katheryn Feldhake; Joshua and Justin Feldhake; Sydney Stover, Daniel, Celina and Isabella Feldhake, six sisters, one brother, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Onofre and Guadalupe Ortiz; her husband, Edward and her grandson, Jeffrey Lash.

Rosary and viewing was held in Tucson on January 11, at Hudgel’s Swan Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on January 12. Interment was at Holy Hope Cemetery in Tucson.
