Lupe Rodriguez

Rodriguez, Lupe
Lupe Rodriguez, our mother, believed in the Our Father, humility, forgiveness, and redemption and she left us these seeds to nurture. She believed that we are kings and angels when we bow our heads or bend a knee to lift another up or wash a poor man's feet. She led by example and did these things with such grace. Being the poor one, she gave. Being wronged, she forgave. She was silent when we asked her to speak because she had the gift of an angels ease. We love her heart, embrace the gifts she treasured and through these she is set free and our forever.

Lupe is survived by her seven daughters and one son; Maria De La Luz Rodriguez - Garcia, Maria Aranda, Frances Taylor, Teresa Pino, Cindy Guerrero, Celia Reyes, Lupe P. Deanda, and Michael Guerrero. Twenty grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation at Universal Memorial Center, 1100 East Jefferson Street, Phoenix, Arizona. Funeral service was held at Immaculate Heart Catholic Church, 909 East Washington Street, Phoenix, Arizona. Final arrangement entrusted to Universal Memorial Center, 1100 East Jefferson Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85034, 602-252-6011. Published in The Arizona Republic on 2/3/2005.
