Juanita (Johnnie) (Lane) Brown

Juanita “Johnnie” Lane Brown was born to Winfield S. and Josephine (King) Lane of the Choctaw Nation in Rolf, Okla., on Sept. 2, 1918.

For many years she delighted family and friends with beautiful handmade quilts and pine needle baskets.

Juanita joined her beloved husband, Charles Joy Brown (Navy) and her two sons, Charles Michael Brown (Army, retired) and James Scott Brown (Army) in heaven after 90 years on this earth on Sept. 9, 2008.

She is survived by her daughters Julia Grogan of Prescott and Patricia Skinner of Tucson. Juanita also leaves behind three grandchildren, Scott Grogan, Suzanne Skinner and Erin Brown.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, at the Arizona Pioneers’ Home, main lobby.
