Beatrice (Holst) Mullaney

Beatrice Holst Mullaney, a longtime resident of Prescott, died Sept. 19, 2008, after a short illness.

Beatrice was born in Chicago in 1911 and had a successful career as a legal secretary until retiring and moving to Prescott with her husband in 1975. While living in Prescott she pursued her interest in gems and minerals, knitting and photography, winning many awards for each at the Yavapai County Fair. She was a member of Sacred Heart parish, and a member of and volunteer for the Sharlot Hall Museum and the Smoki Museum.

She was the wife of Thomas P. Mullaney, who predeceased her. She is survived by her sister Wilma Major of Palos Heights, Ill.; three children, William Mullaney of Windsor, Colo., Diane Mullaney of Lexington, Ky., and Richard Mullaney of Lockport, Ill.; four grandchildren, Thomas C. Mullaney, Erik Boarman, Victoria Greenwell and Maura Wernimont; and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury, Prescott.

She wished that donations be made to Make A Wish Foundation or UNICEF.

Beatrice Holst Mullaney, a long-time resident of Prescott died September 20, 2008 after a short illness.

Beatrice was born in Chicago in 1911 and had a successful career as a legal secretary until retiring and moving to Prescott with her husband in 1975.
