Claude E. Elias, 83, of Prescott, born Dec. 15, 1924, in Rock Springs, Wyo., died Friday, Sept. 19, 2008, at Good Samaritan Village in Prescott.

A private cremation will be at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley.

Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assised the family with final arrangements.

Claude Edward Elias passed away on September 19, 2008 at The Good Samaritan Village in Prescott, Arizona. He was 83 years old. Claude was born December 15, 1924 in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Claude and Celeste Elias. He was a resident of Arizona since March 2006 and previously of Washington State. He worked as a professor in the industry of education. He served in the United States Navy and was proud to have defended his country.

Claude was a member of the Episcopalian Church and enjoyed reading, hiking, conversation, the outdoors, and most of all his black coffee. He was proudest of being a lay pastor for home bound people and learning to fly a small airplane.

Claude will be greatly missed and is survived by daughters; Susan Elias of Prescott Valley, Ariz, and Patty Parker of Port Orchard, Washington and sons; Andrew Elias of Long Beach, California and Scott Elias of Phoenix, Arizona, grandchildren; Josh, Amy, Emily, and Gage.
