Kevin Joseph Maloney died suddenly at his home in Prescott on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004. Born Oct. 4, 1950, he was the eldest son of the late John O. and Marion (Sullivan) Maloney. He grew up in Greenfield, Mass., and was a graduate of Holy Trinity School, Greenfield High School, Greenfield Community College and received his BS from U-Mass., Amherst. He was employed as a landscaper before moving to Arizona. He was employed by the Prescott Unified School District and the Yavapai Regional Medical Center as a computer-programming manager. At the time of his death, he was a freelance programming consultant. Kevin was an avid sports fan and outdoorsman. He loved animals and was a music aficionado. He loved to travel, spending time in Europe, Canada and Mexico. He is survived his daughter, Erin Kathleen Maloney of Peoria, Ariz.; his brother, David J. Maloney and wife, Linda of Clarksburg, Mass.; his brother, Mark M. and wife, Martha and nephews, John, Aengus and Ruari of Greenfield, Mass.; and his sister, Karen Hoffheimer and husband, James and nieces, Kathleen and Meaghan of Coral Spring, Fla.; as well as cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. A memorial service is being planned for the spring. Chino Valley Funeral Home is caring for the family. Information provided by survivors. |
