Daniel H. Camp, 74, of Green Valley, Ariz., died of lymphoma Nov. 5, 2003.

A memorial service wa held Saturday Nov. 8, in Green Valley. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date.

Dan Camp was born Feb. 24, 1929, in Madison County to Harvey and Dorothy (Martin) Camp. He was a 1946 graduate of Patterson High School. In 1952, he received a business degree from Drake University in Des Moines. Also in 1952, he was united in marriage to Phyllis Moreland. They resided in northern Idaho and Spokane, Wash., until his retirement. They then relocated to Green Valley, Ariz. Dan was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Japan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, David; a brother, Marvin Camp; and a sister, Mary Nadine Camp.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Camp of Green Valley, Ariz.; a son Craig Camp of Chula Vista, Calif.; a daughter, Linda Merchant of Gilbert, Ariz.; three brothers, Marion Camp of Olympia, Wash., Robert Camp of St. Charles and Glenn Camp of Antioch, Ill.; three sisters, Helen Armstrong, Evelyn Camp and Marilyn Camp, all of Indianola; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
