Leonard Pancott, 85, of Sacaton Flats, AZ passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2004 in Casa Grande, AZ. He was born October 10, 1918 in Bapchule, AZ. Leonard was preceded in death by two grandsons, Will Pancott and Mark Schurz. He is survived by his wife, Alice; 2 sons, Dennis and Terry; 3 daughters, Carol Ann Schurz, Rita Pancott and Jeanne Gomez; 2 nephews, Emmett White and Tom White; 2 nieces, Henrietta Antone and Annette Bernal; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Leonard resided in Hashan Kehk on the Gila River Indian Community. Mr. Pancott epitomized the cowboy lifestyle. Leonard was bestowed an honorable discharge from the United States Army on December 3, 1945. He served in France and Italy during World War II. Mass was held at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Bapchule, AZ. Interment at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Bapchule, AZ. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Peter's Indian Mission School, P.O. Box 10840, Bapchule, AZ 85221. Bunker's Garden Chapel handled the arrangements.
