Kathryn P. McDole died in the early morning on Oct. 14, 2008, at the Good Samaritan Center in Prescott Valley, Ariz. She was born in Red Oak, Iowa, the eldest daughter of Forrest and Opal Partlow, on Nov. 7, 1921.

After graduating high school, Kay moved to Southern California where she met and married the love of her life, Clifton "Mac" McDole, on Feb. 3, 1946. They remarried in St. George Mormon Temple in October of 1985. This was a marriage that would last 42 years, until Mac's death in 1988, but a love that would last forever.

Kay had four children: Michael McDole, Kristy Paul, Kathy Ashton and Ronald McDole; two stepdaughters, Sharon James and Shirley Charlton; one foster daughter, Margret Jordan; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom meant the world to her.

Kay was a woman who always chose to see the best in everyone, without judgment. She traveled and enjoyed her life and family until the very end. Her wonderful presence on this earth will be greatly missed. She was our mom, our grandma and our great-grandma. We will love her forever.

A visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Family Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez St. Prescott, AZ 86303.

A visitation will be 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, at the LDS Ward, 1101 Sandretto Dr., Prescott, Ariz. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 3 p.m. at the ward.

A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, at Desert Lawn Memorial Gardens, 503 Marina Blvd., Bullhead City, Ariz.
