Beatriz (Nana Betty) C. Gamboa

Beatriz (Nana Betty) C. Gamboa, 71, passed away Monday, Sept. 24, 2001, at her Kearny home. She was born in Hayden May 4, 1930, and was very active in the Catholic Church throughout her life.

She liked to cook and fed many, and she enjoyed gardening activities. She also delighted in her grandchildren and adored each and every one of them.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Benjamin James; daughters, Barbara Ann Rios of Silver City, New Mexico and Patsy (Bobby) Bryce Jr. of Thatcher; son, Jimmy (Vickie) Gamboa of Glendale; sister, Antonia Canisales of Hayden; brother, Filiberto Cruz of Hayden; eight grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

The viewing will be at 8 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church in Kearny. The Rosary will follow at 9 a.m. and Father William Taft will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Mt. View Cemetery in Hayden.

Arrangements were handled by Griffith Mortuary.
